As the President of IASE, I would like to share a an important development for our organization.
I recently received an official letter of invitation by the Kazakhstan Ministry of Education to participate as an official delegate to the 1st World Congress on Inclusion which will be held in Almaty, Kazakhstan from October 15th-17th, 2025.
On behalf of IASE, I have accepted their invitation and have been in constant contact with the Kazakhstan Consulate in San Francisco regarding their invitation and will be traveling to Almaty to attend the Congress.
My hope is that our participation in this Congress will enhance our IASE visibility within the larger international community of organizations related to special education and inclusive practices including individual classroom based practitioners. Second, it will allow us to showcase who we are, what we do and our upcoming 19th Biennial Conference in Bhutan which is a neighboring country to Kazakhstan.
This 1st World Congress on Inclusion is being sponsored by the Government of Kazakhstan, Ministry of Education, UNICEF, HOPE (Help Others Pursue Education), World Inclusion Congress (WIC) and the International Forums of Inclusion Practitioners (IFIP).
The information regarding the Congress can be found on these two websites: ttps://hopeworldcongreshs.com and https://www.worldinclusioncongress.com
If you are interested in attending, please go to these websites and check out the information and especially the availability of hotel accommodations as they are using 4 major hotels for Congress attendees to be transported back and forth to the two main Congress venues.
