In 2007 the Sebastian Kolowa University College (SEKUCo) was established under the umbrella of Tumani University. On September 30, 2012, SEKUCo was transformed into a full-fledged University known as Sebastian Kolowa Memorial University (SEKOMU). Its core function is to provide high quality teaching, research, consultancy and outreach to local communities and to the nation. Within the Faculty of Education, they have a Department of Special Needs which provides teacher training to students from across Tanzania. A Masters of Education in Special Education (M.Ed.SPED) was
started in 2013. SEKOMU has also been running the programme of BSC in
Mental Health & Rehabilitation since 2013.
Currently service and support is needed in:
the areas of Vision and Hearing Impairment;
textbooks for students;
Campus school volunteers;
books for the campus school and library;
Volunteers for a minimum of two (2) years.

Tanzanian Conference registration fees includes: Opening Reception, three days of conference sessions with breaks and lunches. After February 21, 2019, the fees will increase by $70.00 USD /160,000 TZS increase (Tanzanian Currency). All Gala tickets will be an extra $22.00 USD for all students and teachers.
